It was interesting in your last episode to hear Heidi and Elizabeth step into the position of jaded long-time viewers and explain the backstory to a new viewer.
Which leads me to the question that I thought that I might direct to the two of them for your season wrap-up:
At the end of season two, there are still many things about the overall story that the viewer doesn’t know yet. But the viewer is in a very different place than at the end of season one. I think that season two does make it clear what sort of a story this is and what it’s about, in a way that season one doesn’t.
So, Heidi and Elizabeth: standing back and looking at the first two seasons as a whole, what would you say are the main virtues and the main flaws of Babylon 5 as a show? Or, to put it another way, if something is what a viewer likes, they should definitely watch the show – but if something is their pet peeve, they should run away screaming.

So, ambassadors, this seems like a good time to ask something I’ve been wondering about. B5 fans are pretty good about not spoiling newbies in general, and when told not to we’re even better, so I don’t suspect there’s much you’ve been openly spoiled for, but are there things you feel like you’ve been subtly spoiled about? Anything you feel that veterans have drawn a lot of attention to that wouldn’t have drawn much of your own notice so now you think it’s important? Any attitudes towards characters that made you think they must become important or end up not being very important? Any directions you think the story will go in just because of attitudes that slip through unintentionally?
Anyway, hope you’ve all had fun so far, and I look forward to seeing your thoughts as we get into season 3.
